King David's Kids Support Groups - A ministry to special needs children and their families.
Parent/Guardian support groups are held bi-monthly during the fall and spring, along with monthly meetings during the summer. This time together allows for each person to share questions, concerns, or joyous news. It is a time for encouragement and fellowship. Often, guest speakers from the community come and share their professional advice with the group.
Sibling support groups are led by Graduate Students of the Marriage and Family Therapy department at Abilene Christian University. Siblings have the opportunity to receive disability education, and learn coping skills for having a sibling with special needs. They also have the opportunity to interact with peers who experience similar joys and trials in their families, and receive TLC and undivided attention!
