A panel of speakers is assembled to discuss mental health topics. Panelists also answer questions, while CEUs and refreshments are provided.

Mental Health Speaker Series (free CEUs offered)
In 2010, MHAA and Big Country Area Health Education Center began hosting a Mental Health Speaker Series. On May 25, Dr. John Casada presented "The Shattered Self: The Effects of Trauma across the Life Span." On July 13, Tracy Fleet presented "Oops! I did it again: Exploring unhealthy lifestyles and how to overcome them."
With the positive response received from the speaker series, MHAA will likely continue this series in 2011.
2010 Annual Luncheon
The MHAA hosted the Annual Luncheon on May 11, 2010. May is Mental Health Month and MHAA honored Bill Dent with the Outstanding Service Award.
